Behind the scenes @ KRNFX video shoot

My friend, the 2 time Canadian and 2 time Korean beatbox champion, KRNFX, was in town from LA to record a new video and I popped in to snap some photos.

It feels like yesterday when Terry and I first met, it was at our friend Mo’s birthday party at a Yonge and Eglinton where us along with DJ Law were performing. Although the microphone we were using that night was the one they used to announce the open pool tables, we still had a great night and that’s when I first experienced KRNFX.

Although he is likely best known for his appearance on the first season of Canada’s Got Talent, over the years he’s won two Canadian and two Korean beatboxing Championships, traveled the world, performed with Cirque Du Soleil, and amassed millions of Youtube views and hundreds of thousands of followers. I’ve gotta give it to him, he works really hard and is constantly pushing himself and it’s truly inspirational to have watched him grow and develop as an artist. We’ve come a long way since that night at Spaccos.

A couple weeks ago when he was in town we connected and he was looking to get some behind the scenes photos of his “Look at Me!” video shoot, so I booked in the time and made my way down to Wallace Street Studios in Toronto where we was magic music video magic with Director Joel Kim who also directed his “The Hills” cover video. Here’s the video they released and some of my BTS stills.

Next week I’ll be touching down in LA for the first time for a nice and overdue vacation, looking forward to seeing the sites in my 5 days in the sunshine state!
