What a year! It got down to the wire but I achieved even my goal of hitting 6000 followers before 2017. THANK YOU EVERYBODY! I met a lot of really great people this year who have inspired me, encouraged me, given me opportunities, and been a part of my 2016 story in some way. I just want to take a moment to thank you all, and if I missed your name it's not because I don't love you it's because it's 3am when I'm typing this and Instagram limits the amount of people you can tag. Also, I don't do 365 projects because I do 400+'s ? @1junglelady @dj_vilify @duchessanddragons @aynsleyjay @insightimaging @416citizen @raw.philes @freaktography @carolgong @cinnaavox @stilez @ericmarkdo @photified @javin_lau @benroffelsen @ashtontekno @pr0ject_uno @kehli_g @offleashstudio ... And many many more #2016

As many of you know I went on my first ever trip to New York recently and had an incredible time and met some really great people, including some of the men of Ladder 118 / Engine 205 "Fire Under The Bridge" house in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn.
I initially snapped into the firehall's open doors from across the street as to not disturb the firemen relaxing out front at 2 in the morning and then walked away. I got a couple shots, not the ones I had wanted but shots none the less. I managed to get around the corner until I felt I had to go back and get the shot I wanted. I didn't know exactly what that shot was or how I was going to get it, but I knew had to go back.
Upon double backing to the firehall with my friend @aynsleyjay we chatted with the firemen and asked if I could snap some shots, they welcomed me in and let me to take all the photos I wanted. We all chatted while I snapped away around the firehall, really nice guys, and after a few minutes I got this shot, thanked them for their time and we walked off into the night.
I knew September 11th was coming up, and I wanted to post this image in honour of all the fallen men and women who didn't run from, but ran into the face of death and danger on that September morning. It wasn't until I Google searched Ladder 118 last night that I realized that exact truck wasn't only at Ground Zero, it was wrecked, the lives of 6 brave men on it lost their lives, only to be rebuilt and put back into service. If you take a moment to google search "Ladder 118 9/11“ you'll see some pretty intense images and the names and story of these heroes. The chalk board in the top right of this image hasn't been changed since 9/11 and still has the name of the crew as it was on this day 15 years ago today.

I generally don't post photos of myself because I feel that my account is more about my images rather than images of me, that and the fact I've got a great face and voice for radio ? ... but sometimes I can't resist posting a behind the scenes shot of me, like this one from today in the gifting suite snapping a shot of the lovely, funny, and talented @clarapasieka. ?? @NikonCanada @hollywoodminute
